When the liquid enters into carbon steel basket strainer basket through the main pipe, the solid impurity particles are blocked in the filter basket, and the clean fluid passes through the carbon steel basket strainerbasket and is discharged by the filter outlet. When it is necessary to clean, unscrew the screw plug at the bottom of the main pipe, drain the fluid, remove the flange cover, and reload it after cleaning. Therefore, it is very convenient to use and maintain.

Carbon steel basket strainer is generally used where high flow capacity is required. The basket Strainer is serviced by removing the cover, which yields access to the basket. Basket Strainers are also available in a duplex style which consists of two parallel basket Strainers and diverting valves, which permit diversion of the flow through one of the Strainer elements while the other element is being serviced-an essential feature where flow cannot be interrupted.
